Your Gut Restore Cleanse

The gastrointestinal (GI) tract begins to remove harmful substances from your food by sending them out of the body in your stool or to the liver and kidneys to be fully detoxified. The GI tract also breaks down the food you eat, using the nutrients to build muscle, bone, brain, and other critical body tissues.

digestive, system, human

Over time, your gut can get overwhelmed from the toxins it absorbs from the food and water you consume, the air you breathe, and the products you use on a daily basis. A gut cleanse — sometimes called a colon cleanse — can ensure all those toxins aren’t affecting your ability to stay healthy.

It is important to realise that the gut cleanse is the first of six different cleanses for the body. Once the gut cleanse is complete, you should focus on a colon, kidney, gallbladder, liver, lymphatic system and a skin brushing cleanse. My advice is don’t stop with the gut cleanse only. Although it is a good start to feeling great, keep going and cleanse continuously or two-three times a year.

The Gut Cleanse Brief – Your Gut

When someone refers to the “gut,” they’re referring to the entire digestive system — including the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, small intestine, and large intestine, also called the colon.

Every section of the digestive tract has a function, and the colon is one of the most important. It’s a U-shaped part of the intestines that is up to six feet long. The colon has four sections: ascending, transverse, descending, and sigmoid. A whole ecosystem of gut bacteria resides inside the colon, helping to keep your digestion on track and working optimally. Think for a moment, why is colon cancer the up and coming fastest growing cancer in the world today. That’s right, because for cancer to grow, the colon is unclean, congested and imbalanced with the right mix of gut flora or beneficial vs non-beneficial bacteria.

What Is a Gut Cleanse?

A gut cleanse is an incredibly effective way to improve your overall health and wellness, boosting your gut’s ability to digest food and detoxify harmful substances. A gut cleanse has three main components: eliminating, flushing, and replenishing.

First, you eliminate food items known to cause digestive issues, such as dairy, meat, gluten, and other allergens, while eating a clean diet — ideally, all fruit — for several days. Next, you flush your digestive system of all the extra waste, toxins, and organisms it has collected over time. Last, you replenish your gut’s beneficial organisms, also called probiotics.

A gut cleanse is a three-step process — eliminate, flush, and replenish — that can kick-start a new, healthy lifestyle.

Cleansing your gut is something you should regularly do — it’s not just a one-time quick fix. Your gut needs regular maintenance. Doing a gut cleanse is a great opportunity to kick-start new, healthy habits. You will feel so much better after clearing out the old gunk and welcoming in healthier foods, more beneficial probiotic bacteria, and smoother digestion.

Symptoms Experienced – It’s Time for a Cleanse

The Standard American Diet (SAD) is ruthless when it comes to messing with your gut health. All of the dairy, sugar, wheat, and fried and processed foods unleash all sorts of havoc on your body, leading to accumulated toxins and even compacted fecal matter in the gut. Many people say that they can feel when it’s time for a gut cleanse.

Your body is constantly sending signals that you need to cleanse, and some people say they can even feel when it’s time for a gut cleanse!

Your body is pretty good at sending out signals to make sure you’re aware that something is off-balance. If you notice any of the following symptoms, it’s a pretty strong indicator that it’s time for a gut cleanse.

  • Skin blemishes
  • Mental fog
  • Poor sleep
  • Low energy
  • Poor appetite
  • Headaches
  • Body odor
  • Body aches
  • Constipation
  • Bad breath

Supplies Needed

To ensure you’re doing the gut cleanse properly, be sure to follow the dietary instructions below. In some ways, a cleanse is similar to fasting. You will be eliminating a lot of foods that you ordinarily eat unless you already follow a very clean diet.

Psyllium Husk

  • Psyllium Husk
  • Bentonite Clay
  • ACV (apple cider vinegar)
  • Fresh fruit
  • Purified water (aim for half your body weight in ounces per day)

Fresh Fruit

These fruits are chosen for this cleanse because they are easy on your intestines and a good source of nutrients and water. It’s best to add variety to your fruit intake daily.

  • Bananas
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Grapefruit
  • Grapes
  • Melon
  • Oranges
  • Papaya
  • Pineapple
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Tomatoes
  • Watermelon
  • White grapes

If you prefer vegetables over fruit, you can substitute leafy greens, onion, garlic, artichokes, and brussels sprouts into your diet. You could also consider a morning green smoothie.

Gut Cleanse Protocol

Below is a daily guide to improve the benefits of this fourteen-day gut cleanse. When you pick a fruit, that is the only fruit you will eat for that meal. This is called mono-eating. Thoroughly wash all fruit as they carry many toxic byproducts and chemicals.

Chew and enjoy the taste of each bite for better digestion. Even when drinking a fruit juice (fresh) or green smoothie, it is wise to chew as you ignite the factory of enzymatic action in the body. The body gets ready to digest what is coming in.

Make ACV mix: Prepare six litres of ACV mix by adding two tablespoons of ACV (with the mother) per one litre of distilled or purified water. Drink the ACV mix throughout the day. Learning to make your own is the best.

Waking Up

  • Spend 15 minutes meditating and being still. I prefer spending time reading the Bible and praying.
  • Use a positive affirmation first thing in the morning, and repeat a few times. It will put your mind on the right track for a healthy day.
  • One possible affirmation is, “I prepared for all things before me” meditate on a bible verse for the day such as Romans 8:28.

1 Hour Before Breakfast

  • Mix 1 tsp of Psyllium Husk with 200ml’s of water. If you fine with one tsp, use two after three days.
  • Take 1 tablespoon (Tbs) of the the Bentonite Clay
  • Eat plenty of fresh fruit until you are full.
  • Drink plenty of purified water. If not you digestive system will clog up.

Breakfast

  • Start you day with either of the following fruit. Only eat that fruit and as much as you would enjoy. There is no need to overeat while trying to clean the digestive tract.
  • Grapes (dark grapes with seeds are preferable). All other grapes (seedless) are genetically modified and we call that Frankenfood. Food with very little true value.

Lunch

  • Eat a fresh fruit of your choice until you are full.
  • Drink plenty of purified water.

Mid-Afternoon Snack

  • If feeling as though you need to eat, then eat a few grapes.
  • Drink plenty of purified water.

Dinner

  • Eat plenty of fresh fruit until you are full. At night you can consume a melon of your choice. Only eat the melon.
  • Drink plenty of purified water.

Bedtime

  • Mix 1 tsp of Psyllium Husk with 200ml’s of water. If you fine with one tsp, use two after three days. Drink a further 250mls of water.
  • Take 1 tablespoon (Tbs) of Bentonite Clay
  • Before closing your eyes, be still and meditate. Unselfish prayer is a power detoxifier.

Repeat

  • Follow this schedule for a total of fourteen days.
  • After the first day or two, you should start experiencing an increase in bowel movement and an overall feeling of lightness.

The Amazing Benefits of a Gut Detox

detox, detoxifying, detoxify

A healthy gut means a happy body. When your colon and digestive system are working the way they should, your body’s ability to detoxify itself is improved.

If your digestive system is not working properly, you most likely aren’t absorbing all the nutrients available from what you eat. Or the supplements you spending money on. Your body may also be having trouble absorbing enough water from your food. A gut cleanse can get your digestion to start working as it was designed. Here are some of the benefits of a gut cleanse.

Using Bentonite Clay

Bentonite, a medicinal powdered clay derived from deposits of weathered volcanic ash.

It is one of the most effective natural intestinal detoxifying agents available and has been recognized as such for centuries by native peoples around the world. Whatever the name, liquid clay contains minerals that, once inside the gastrointestinal tract, are able to absorb toxins and deliver mineral nutrients to an impressive degree. Liquid clay is inert which means it passes through the body undigested.

Technically, the clay first adsorbs toxins (heavy metals, free radicals, pesticides), attracting them to its extensive surface area where they adhere like flies to sticky paper; then it absorbs the toxins, taking them in the way a sponge mops up a kitchen counter mess.

There is an electrical aspect to Bentonite’s ability to bind and absorb toxins. The clay’s minerals are negatively charged while toxins tend to be positively charged; hence the clay’s attraction works like a magnet drawing metal shavings. But it’s even more involved than that. Should you require your 500ml of Bentonite, connect with us. Make sure it is food grade as this is vital at all times.

Balancing Emotions

When your gut is in proper working order, it can affect your mood in a good way. Eighty percent of all signal to the brain comes from the gut. A healthy gut is a healthy brain. Anxiety and stress increase with greater inflammation in the body — and inflammation occurs when your eating and drinking is non-optimal.

Regulate & Restore Your Immune System

The micro-organisms (bacteria – beneficial and non-beneficial) in your gut interact quite closely with your immune system, and depending on which organisms you’ve got, there’s a potential link to autoimmune diseases.

A gut detox will eliminate the harmful organism in your body, helping the gut to heal and keeping your immune system on track while replenishing your gut with beneficial microbes or bacteria as we know it.

Relieving Constipation

Your body can have a hard time with digestion when you follow a poor eating plan that’s full of processed foods, meat, and sugar. An unhealthy diet can lead to compacted waste — a place where disease manifests and thrives.

Since you eliminate unhealthy foods on a gut cleanse, while focusing on drinking water and eating fiber-rich and nutrient dense foods, it helps your system, removing waste and flushing out the bad stuff.

Essentially, your gut will be reset following a cleanse, which means your bowel movements will likely be more regular and consistent, and you’ll be processing and digesting food at healthy levels again.

Higher Energy Levels

One of the most commonly reported benefits following a gut cleanse is increased energy.

You may not even need that cup of morning coffee anymore that is most instances is only feeding already overworked adrenal glands. You’ll not only feel more awake, but you will also just feel better overall.

Improving Metabolism

The microbiome in your gut helps regulate metabolism. A gut cleanse could be just what you need to take your body’s innate calorie-burning power to a higher level.

As a bonus, once your biome is in top shape, it may help you fight against obesity and weight gain. Replenishing the gut with beneficial probiotics is essential to the overall effectiveness of any cleanse. Probiotic foods are best if the gut can handle this type of food. Not everyone can.

Boost Nutrient Absorption

Within your gut, the small intestine absorbs nutrients from the food you’re eating or the supplement you are taking. When your gut is unhealthy or just not working optimally, nutrients are not properly absorbed and we end up eating and eating while not really gaining any value in our health.

If this happens, you’re at a higher risk for things like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), malabsorption syndrome, leaky gut, Crohn’s disease, and many nutritional deficiencies. What happens in these situations, instead of fixing the underlying cause, we seek medical care and are medicated. In this spiral, the condition gets worse until we realise (our first Aha moment) that we cannot take one poison to fix the other poison we putting into our body in the form of sugar, animal products that are full of hormones and antibiotics, processed foods, dairy and the list goes on.

Improving Memory

The health of your gut will improve brain function. Specific eating plans — like the healthy one we teach our clients to adopt will help help reduce future neurological conditions, such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s and other brain disorders.

Some probiotics are also known to influence brain activity, so be sure to add them back into your diet with supplements once the cleanse is over.

Other Ways to Maintain a Healthy Gut

Once you’re done with the initial cleanse, choose a healthy lifestyle for 2021 as your new norm. There are other options for maintaining a healthy gut and being well — things you should probably do together with proper eating, such as managing stress, exercising or movement, refrain from sitting for long hours, optimising one’s sleep (we have got this right with our CBD supplements), and getting in those probiotic foods.

One of the best intervention you could do is to adopt a ‘Plant-Based’ Eating plan. If not eat 3 x the amount you eating now.

Animal-based diets have an undeniably negative affect on gut health.  A plant-based diet that focuses on organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, and grains helps to reduce obesity, improve memory, sleep, and promotes a healthier gut microbiome – a healthier community of beneficial gut flora.

A plant-based diet also promotes strong digestion, and helps with heart health, anti-aging, and so much more. Herbal and green teas, as well as supplements, can add additional nutrients and antioxidants to your plant-based diet.

Post Cleanse

When coming off the cleanse, be gentle and enjoy a greater selection of fruits. Berries are an ideal and well balanced fruit. Then follow a healthy, plant-based diet with two-three small meals throughout the day. Make sure to drink lots of purified water with fresh lemon.
